The Canyon AT4 solidifies and builds upon the rugged, proven foundation already provided by the baseline Canyon to provide excellent off-road capability. It starts with the Canyon’s powerful 2.7L Turbo High-Output engine. Generating 310 horsepower and a best-in-class 430 lb-ft of torque, this is a small engine that packs a big punch, ensuring you have all the capability you need to haul the Canyon over obstacles without adding unnecessary weight.
To help you tackle tough terrain, the Canyon AT4 features a standard 2-inch factory lift, 66.1-inch front and rear ultra-wide track width, and 9.6 inches of ground clearance. This helps the truck simply drive over obstacles where other vehicles would need to go around. But sometimes, a few jagged rocks can still present a threat to the underbody. That’s why the AT4 also comes with thick skid plates that protect critical underbody components from stumps, ruts, rocks, and other obstacles you may come across.
The Canyon AT4 also uses an advanced 4WD system with an auto-locking rear differential, along with a two-speed AutoTrac™ transfer case, to better find purchase in those low-grip conditions. Then it goes a step further with the Drive Mode Selector, which comes with exclusive Off-Road and Terrain modes that optimize performance across loose surfaces.
Regardless of your ride’s capabilities, though, driving off-road can be tricky when you can’t see where you’re going. To help with that, the AT4 offers first-in-class front and rear underbody cameras that provide real-time forward and rearward views of the trail blow your truck. It can even show a split-screen view of both cameras and the Canyon’s high-definition, 360-degree surround view at the same time. And the cherry on top: they have a built-in wash system.

The Canyon AT4 can already take you just about anywhere you want to go. But for those seeking the most extreme adventures, there’s the AT4X. It enhances the AT4’s off-road features while offering exclusive exterior and interior designs that help you stand out.
Compared to the AT4, the AT4X’s factory lift kit is increased from 2 to 3 inches. The front and rear track width grows from 66.1 to 66.3 inches. And the ground clearance leaps from 9.6 to 10.7 inches. Altogether, these enhancements add up to quite a bit of extra capability.
The front and rear underbody cameras, which are offered as an optional add-on in the AT4, are standard in the AT4X — and joined by up to 10 camera views that aid in other areas, such as towing. The Canyon AT4X also gets additional underbody protection in the form of a transfer case shield and rocker protectors. It has an exclusive Baja drive mode catered to high-speed dune driving, Multimatic™ DSSV dampers, and front and rear electronic-locking differentials.
The result is a radically capable and advanced machine. And its own cherry on top is the AT4X-exclusive Obsidian Rush interior with ceramic white accents, stitched logos, and all-weather floor liners. Inside and out, the Canyon AT4X is truly stunning.
