The 2023 GMC Terrain gives you economical, responsive performance with its 1.5-liter turbo engine and nine-speed automatic transmission. You can look forward to a hearty 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque when you step on the accelerator, along with up to 29 mpg on the highway.[1] The Terrain can also tow up to 1,500 pounds with the proper equipment. Meanwhile, a standard four-link independent rear suspension keeps your ride smooth even when the road is bumpy.

AT4 off-road Trim

If you have a taste for adventure, you’ll be delighted by the 2023 Terrain’s AT4 trim. This model offers an AWD Traction Select System with Off-Road Mode to give you great traction on dirt, gravel, or sand as you travel farther away from the pavement.

For even more off-road capability, the AT4 supplies you with a front steel skid plate and Goodyear® sport terrain tires. This trim showcases great style, too, including 17-inch gloss black wheels, black chrome trim, and a Jet Black interior with perforated leather upholstery and unique stitched accents.

Exterior Design

All 2023 Terrain models flaunt sophisticated and practical exterior design elements, including standard 17-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels, LED headlamps and taillamps with C-shaped signature lighting, and heated side mirrors. Roof side rails and cross rails, molded assist steps, and a programmable power liftgate are available as well.

Paint color choices for the Terrain include Marine Metallic, Volcanic Red Tintcoat, and Summit White. For a standout look, opt for the Elevation Edition package, which equips the Terrain with 19-inch gloss black wheels, black badging and exterior accents, and a dark grille.

Interior Features

The Terrain’s cabin is roomy and versatile — making this SUV a great choice for commuters, couples, growing families, or solo adventurers. There’s seating for five, including close to 40 inches of legroom for passengers in back. You can fit about 30 cubic feet of your stuff in the cargo hold — or 63.3 cubic feet if you flatten the split-folding second row. The front passenger seat also folds flat to accommodate longer items.

To enhance your convenience and comfort, the Terrain offers standard and available features like heated and power-adjustable front seats, premium cloth upholstery, second-row USB charging outlets, and dual-zone automatic climate control. You can also opt for leather upholstery and a SkyScape® power sunroof.

Infotainment and Connectivity

To help you stay in touch wherever your travels take you, the 2023 Terrain supplies a 7-inch touch-screen audio system with wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® smartphone integration, Bluetooth® hands-free calling and audio streaming, and Wi-Fi® hotspot capability. A larger 8-inch touch screen with connected navigation is available as well. SLT and higher trims offer a seven-speaker Bose® premium audio system that enhances your favorite tunes with concert-quality sound.
